Unix Recommendations?
So I've been thwarted job wise again due to my lack of Unix knowledge. Somehow installing linux on a box once 4 years ago isn't exactly impressive :)

Anyone have recommendations on learning unix??

It's A Shame....

I am the Destructor!
So not much really going on, except I've succesfully completed
the demolition of our deck. I took some videos of it just cause
watching it come down was fun. (of course i have nowhere to host
this silliness)

We (or I suppose "I") have bought a pool table. It should be here in a week or 2 :)

Will be ours!! I looked at the air hockey table today and it met with my
approval. Since Cathy and I won't be able to afford going anywhere after we
buy the house, we shall bring the entertainment to our home! :)

my "job interview" went about as planned. Now we just have to get payrate settled.

My new retirement plan
I'm still organizing cd's but i've decided that instead of saving money for
retirement, i'm just gonna wait for Glis to become as popular as the Beatles
and then sell the 20 or so glis promo cds that i have.

Now this is gonna suck....
Well, now that Cathy isn't doing Die consistently anymore and I've "retired" from
djing, it's time to reorganize the cd collection. All 3000 of em. Help!!

Of course this would be a lot easier if all the cd's were in their correct cases, which of course they uh, mostly are. Damn Me!!

Schnee!!
Well it's approaching 5am and one of the benefits to being on
a 100 day break from work is being able to stay up till it starts
snowing even if it's a ludicrous time. Time to go outside and
enjoy the snow + silence :)

A small update..........
From someone who never writes here....

Anyways, 13 days ago I got married. Twas a wonderful occasion!!!

Work wise: It's looking like I'm going to be shifted over to Project Gotham Racing 2.
While this means nothing to most of you, to a couple of us, this means that quite soon
I'll be going back into crunch mode and working overtime in the next couple of weeks.
This will last into October and will probably mean I'll become scarce and invisible again.
I apologize to my friends and loved ones (especially cat) if I don't get to see ya much.

Convergence, Steel Battalion and you
First off, it's all but a done deal. I will unfortunately not be attending C9 this year. I've
already cancelled my plane ticket and what not :( There was just no way I could make it with
the product that i'm working on scheduled to "be ready" by May 5th. On other fronts, work does
go well. I'm working not only on something I like but also with and for good people as well,
and despite the 70 hour work weeks, still enjoy going to work each day. And in case you haven't
heard yet, yes I splurged a few weeks ago and bought steel battalion http://www.capcom.com/SB/index.html
It's crazy insane but then again so am I.

Only 2 weeks till baseball season :)

Rumor has it....
I'm employed again. At least thats what a little birdie told me, haven't
heard anything official yet. I'll be at Die tonight for some time :)

Laid Off :(
Unexpectedly today was my last day at work. I was the only one on my team let go
and in our reviews we had just 2 weeks ago mine was the highest. Go figure. Lets
just hope it doesn't take me 9 months again.......... Fuck!!!

Cathy's Car
Has been located, nothing stolen thank siouxsie and all that needs to be fixed is
the steering column which obviously is ruined. It was found a mere 8 blocks from
our apt. All in all pretty lucky, but i still want to shoot em!

And.........
In case any of you were wondering, there are already Siouxsie stickers on the new car :)
